A game about the quiet complexity of parent-child relationships.

Through All These Years asks players to explore the complicated relationship between a parent and their adult child, which they create together. Through scene prompts, players describe and play important moments in the life of that relationship, moving back and forth in time like a quilt of memory.

Content Warning:

This game invites players to define the complicated nature of the relationship between a parent and child through high and low moments. As such rough or difficult family dynamics may be explored and common family struggles and traumas may pe present in content. However, as all family context is defined by the players, they are jointly in control of the themes that arise. 

This game was originally released as part of the2014 Indie Mixtape Vol 2: a collection of games inspired by songs to raise money to help indie game developers with medical bills. The song it was based on was I Bet My Life, by Imagine Dragons.

Proceeds from the game will feed the War Birds Seed Fund which aims to provide microgrants to marginalized designers to enable a new generation of War Birds games.
